So, I couldnt help myself, we had 1 psycho left in the shop, amd I have onl heard good things about it. So I ended up punching it up, pin above middle finger, cg in the palm.
First off, what awesome colors. Definitely a head turner.
After I punched it up, I took it to the lanes for some practice shots on our 37ft THS. First off, I cant not believe how good this ball rolls. I dont think I have thrown a ball that rolls like this ball does. First 17 shots out of the box were flush strikes. 18th shots I left a smash 9.
Now I know most people dont really care about this, but one thing I noticed and stood out to me was the actual strike itself. Mostly all of strikes seem to leave pins on the deck or in the gutters. Every strike I threw, I noticed that every pin simply went straight to the back. No pins to be seen anywhere. The ball just hit like a cement truck.
The ball was also very versatile, as it never over reacted or under reacted no matter if I moved my target left or right. Standing far left, the ball slid through the oil, yet took off right as it got to the pocket, not sliding too far or taking off through the face. When playing between 1 and 5, the ball got down the lane even though playing through the drier part of the lane.
Overall, for being the first Hammer ball I have ever owned, I am thoroughly impressed so far. I will have to see how it fares on a few sport shots and a fresh house shot.

I'm glad that you are enjoying your psycho, it looks to be a good ball.
On another note, it's interesting you attend(ed) a Christian high school, yet you subscribe to the notion..."Pimpin ain't easy-it''s mandatory"

trust me, having attended that christian school with chrsipy that he was never awake enough for any of those values to rub off lol. i have proof, many of my books are scarred from his drool residue.

Good Review. Do you think you could still use the Psycho when the lanes get drier? I am looking at getting another piece when the lanes breakdown.

To answer your question for the Psycho on broken down shots, I would honestly say no. Unless you got some units of oil in the middle part of the lane, I wouldn't recommend it as this ball has some motion on the back. I don't let mine see anything but mediums and above.

Good call my friend. I actually was in a tourny today, and a fresh shot was not run, so the lanes were already slightly broken down. By the 4th or 5th frame of the second game, the ball was checking up way to early. On the other hand, moving way left and throwing it almost directly into the 1-3 pocket was seemingly effective. But like stated below, our THS is swamped in the middle, so even dull stuff is playable up the middle.
After throwing a few more games on it, I have decided the ball fares much better by coming up the back of the ball more than the side. I have a pretty good amount of revs on the ball. If the ball was like a clock coming off my hand, my hand comes up at about 3:45 to 4. although most shots with the psycho were flush strikes, I seemed to have a problem with the 6 pin wrapping around the 10 pin every now and then. After adjusting my hand and bringing my hand up around 5, the ball seemed to read the lanes much better especially when playing the line above(standing left, almost directly into 1-3). Instead of the the 6 pin wrapping around the 10, it would go off the wall and directly into the 10 pin. Overall, still liking the ball. I will post tomorrow since I bowl on a sport shot pattern(swamp outside, 39ft, flying backends from 1st arrow on the left to 1st arrow on the right), and I will post tuesday because I get to bowl on the Team USA Qualifying shot(the medium one).
Thanks to everyone who read, I hope this helps!

PS- "Pimpin aint easy, its mandatory" is actually a little quote from a friend of mine who passed away a little over 2 years ago. He always joked bout working crappy jobs and almost having to live from paycheck to paycheck(as was his case). He was a funny guy and I guess I would always like to remember him as a funny guy and a good friend.

Yeah, as what chrispy has said, the ball being pearl does indeed have some good midlane. I would recommend any of the Vibes for the broken down drier type shots. Cherry is the one I have, and it indeed is a good ball to go to with the right drilling to handle some dry.
