My New Toxic - Pics & Review
« on: December 11, 2006, 09:17:01 AM »
Hi Hammer guys,

Its my first ever Hammer ball & i tried it out for the first time tonight. I asked my driller to punch the ball so i could have something specifically for medium oil lanes (or something thats not as strong as my Paradigms) & has more of a tame arc shape to the pins. Here are the pics:

I tried it on synthetic lanes at my local house, that were played on previously by the doubles league & were a little dry at the back. I couldnt keep a decent line to play so it was a little sporadic.

But i found the Toxic worked much better going over 2nd arrow (from right side) where the ball came nicely into the pocket. It wasnt too sharp or too soft, but it will be perfect for medium oil once i get used to the ball. So far so good.

I know its not so technical as you would have preferred. Any questions, just ask.

Nice, my buddy just got the ball and it seemed smoother than the doom but more overall, started a little earlier and covered a few more boards and kept the great hit power!

Phil,

That's about the same line I used Sunday night, down 10 out to 3-5 and it made a nice hard turn to the pocket. It takes me several games to 'get it down', so my scores were nothing to write home about, but all in all I like the Toxic and it fits great under my No Mercy, just as I hoped it would.

Mine's 4 3/4 pin/pap, cg kicked a bit right, no weight hole, pin above ring.

Threw a Pain and the Toxic is smoother than a Pain, but for me, it's the ball I was looking for.

Glad to hear yours is working for you as well. I think this one will be as good a ball as than Doom, once more folks try it.

Yeah Azguy. The ball moved nicely from that area when i threw it right. My scores were not too great either, but its all about learning to throw a new ball thats not as sharp turning in.

SSTapped - I bought my ball off the US ebay site & shipped it over for $90. Total cost of the ball was about $198.99 (£98, although shipping was free for the US), which would be so much cheaper than getting one in the UK. It would probably retail at £180, about $350!!

I Drill one up and i like it but i drill my with the cg under my ring finger and but the pin above my middle finger. That  is it can go far down the lane becuase i am hurting on the second shift league because the heads would be dry up by the time i got to the second of are shift.
