I don't think Hammer has anything below the CV in their lineup right now.  You could try to find one of the Pure Hammers, I'd go for the black one since it's urethane instead of reactive.

If that doesn't work, one of the other urethanes that are available right now might work for you.  Try to find a Slate Blue Gargoyle, that's probably the best of the bunch right now, one of the few with a real dynamic core.

If you don't want to do that, you could try adjusting the surface on your CV.  What is the box finish besides "polished"?  You could try one of the extended length polishes like the Legends EL polish or Track/Powerhouse Delayed Reaction (is there a PH version?).  Or another CV with a weaker layout.

I think the Slate Blue would do wonders.  It has the same look and finish as the old Pearl Urethane Hammers and Turbos, but with a little more backend and hitting power.

Visionarys Slate Blue Gargoyle is hands down the best dry lane ball out there. It's very smooth and yet because of its core can give you a very nice flip in the backend without overreacting.

I've been looking for such a ball too. It's sad that almost all the good balls for this condition have been discontinued. Definately no currant Hammer balls will work. I am looking into Roto-Grip Neptune and Brunswick Groove Dry/R as well as regular Power Groove Reactive. I actually still have a half dead lightweight Power Groove as a spare ball. It used to be OK on dry lanes( drilled weak).
Just wish they made something with a very weak coverstock but a hard hitting, strong core........maybe it's easier to find an alley that would put oil on the lanes, lol!

i would go with a purple vibe. you shoud still be able to find one. drill something close to axis so it will roll and not over react off the dry and not be a skid flip machine.
