Ok ball is on order an it seems to be a big discussion about the tech/spec, of the layout. First off I dont know jack about layouts, well some but not enough to keep up with the No mercy discussion.
Here is my profile:
quote:
league bowling since 2001
avg 170's
tweener avg ball speed
Med. Revs
Axis Rotation:
(30°-59°) Medium side roll with a fairly angular move to the pocket.
Axis Tilt:
(0°-15°) Less than average spin. Ball track near the thumb and fingers
Im going to use a different proshop for this ball, my old proshop switched Mgt. an Ive seen some of his work "not that good". What to I need to impress on the proshop about the way I want this ball drilled, (this is the most Ive spent on a ball an would like to screw it up"
Any advice?
thanks

Joe,
From what I have read, find a good proshop and make sure that they first watch how you throw the ball and make sure they measure your Positive Axis Point (PAP). From what I have read, Pin to PAP distances are very important for the No Mercy. I hope this helps.

Drill it the recommended layout, while putting the PIN 4-5 inches from the PAP, like mentioned above you need to know your PAP. That will help out good. That will give you an agressive reaction also! Hope this helps!!

Do NOT get all hung up on Layout #1, #2 etc, it ALL pin/pap and if the shop does not know that measurement, then you're out of luck. This ball the Heart and pin/pap is the mOST important thing to know. I have drilled several, I don't care what the number is, it's all about reaction desired and pin/pap along with heart placement.
Talk to the driller, make sure he/she has drilled them before and sees you throw, knows what you expect and measures you pap...best advise I can give, Good Luck.
