Need recommendation for Ball
« on: September 25, 2008, 02:31:52 AM »
Guys my arsenal is a Black Widow (original), Complete NV, Total NV, Angular One. My house has a christmas tree pattern. During league, the backends are awesome the first game but later they have some serious carry down. What would be a good ball to combat these conditions. Thanks.

It sounds like you have a lot of aggressive equipment in your arsenal. I think what is needed is something mid line, that will have a strong backend Reaction to cut through the Carry down.

A Raw Hammer Psycho would be a prime edition to your arsenal to take care of this. Strong off the break point with a strong and continuous backend motion.

A Second suggestion would be a Black Widow Venom, if you want something to compliment your Black Widow. This will go a couple feet longer than the original Widow, and have an even snappier backend. Great for carry down.

A third suggestion would be an Emerald Vibe. This ball will give you a lot of length and energy retention due to the pearl coverstock and a very poppy backend reaction. It will handle less volume than the Psycho and Venom. If your shot has a large amount of oil, then maybe a Venom would be best.

Anyone one of these choices with proper drilling for your technique and to specifically fit what your looking for would be great.

If you have any further questions regarding Hammer product, drilling or anything really, please don't hesitate to PM me I am more than happy to help

i wouldnt go with a pearl in this case. if it saves all the energy to get down the lane, it will spend it all where the oil is and ultimately just skate by the breakpoint. an option might be to just take the polish off the psycho or something and just keep it at 4000. just get it going a tad earlier

first i would try to make surface adjustments to what you have

next i would go with the columbia noize first. it has a weaker core in it to get down the lane and an ultra aggressive cover (resurgence) to cut through the oil.

and last i would go with the emerald vibe. its still a pearl but its still a good option at this point.

on the way maybe.....the sauce, momentum swing, resurgence, or demension.
p.s. go leftys

I would go with a Playmaker, its designed for slightly less oil than the rest of your arsenal and would also give you a more mellow/smoother look than anything you have now (assuming you haven't used trick layouts).
