The Big Blues seem to be very bowler-specific balls. Some people like them, but just as many seem to find them disappointing. The Sling Blade has been very successful. Almost everyone has liked it, but opinions vary widely on what condition it is good for. Mine is very effective on a very light condition, but does very little if there is much oil present. Some people claim it to be effective on a medium condition. It probably depends mostly on your revs. High rev bowlers can get it moving on medium, but average to below average revvers need to save it for light.
I think the Diesel line is very hard to beat if you like a good mid-lane read. I have the Diesel Particle Solid and the Diesel Particle Pearl; and have had great success with them in both my former weight of 16# and in 15#, which is what I use now. Alas, both of those balls have been discontinued. I do not have a Big Block Diesel, but am in the process of acquiring one. It has the exact same core (and thus the exact same RG and diff) as the two I mentioned above. The Turbo Diesel and Power Diesel have a modified core. I have not tried those two.
If the place having the sale happens to have a 15# Diesel Particle Pearl laying around and you don't intend to buy it yourself, please let me know and let me know their phone number. That ball is a killer for me and I didn't manage to get a spare one before they went off the market.
Hope this helps.
