New Ball Purchase - Hammer Acid or Hot Sauce?
« on: April 19, 2009, 02:40:25 PM »
I am looking to get a new ball to replace my old Brunswick equipment. Last month I bought a Sauce and really like how it rolls. It has been doing good for me on well oiled lanes especially before league games.

I'm looking for a good medium ball to switch to after the lanes break down. My eyes are set on either grabbing a Hammer Acid or a Hot Sauce. Both seem like they would work out good for me but I am just not to sure.

I like a good amount of hook on a ball so it has been said the the acid my be a better fit for my playing style (out and in). After reading the reviews on both balls I am at the crossroads.

Any suggestions.

Thanks guys.

Without knowing anything about your game, the Hot Sauce would probably be a better fit for you. The pearl cover will give you the length when your Sauce is hooking too early.  I think the Acid may be a little too strong for what your looking for. You can't go wrong with the hot sauce, probably the best pearl on the market. Good Luck.

Yeah, probably woulda helped if I gave some details on my play. I am tweener and throw with a medium amount of revs. I often play on typical house shots and will be joining a sport shot league in May. I carry a 170-180 average.

My eyes had been set on the Hot Sauce but wanted to make sure I research some of the other Hammer balls available. I'm looking to break away from some of my Brunswick equipment and see what Hammer can do for me.

Thanks MTD300!
