They both have a niche.  I was able to use both balls either playing out near the gutter or inside....of course on specific conditions.  The Blade is surprisingly strong on heavier patterns.  I know this doesnt give you much to go on.....if you can give more details we can help narrow it down and figure out which may be better for you.

He asked more versatile and that hands down goes to the blade reactive and you should know that.  I like to think of it as Hammers "V2".  Smooth rolling decent in oil, reacts nicely with polish and covers a wide variety of lane conditions.  Excellent value for the price.

Im a 3/4 roller and a high rev player. I had a blade reactive it wasn't ok. The blade had an 1 inch pin. Pin was under ring finger and cg was kicked out about 1 1/2 inches from midline. The ball just gave me one big motion at the breakpoint. It wasn't versital at all. I was thinking about getting another one and drilling it different or get a turbo diesel?

Wow, why not try one of the newer balls.

All of the new stuff is incredible.  Not that the old stuff is bad, but the new stuff is just that good.

How bout a HiRev, Big DEAL or Big Rig?

of the two the Blade Reactive was the most versatile. As a matter of fact, thye Blade Reactive was hammers verson of the V2 Sanded. Both are great. Anyway, i would agree that you should try some of the new stuff...high rev, real or big deal, hawg, big rig. All of these are GREAT additions to hammer.

This goes to Al aka CHT

Your problem is real simple. Next time buy a ball with a bigger pin-out! Like maybe 3inches rather than 1 inch!

Blade reactive is a much more versatile ball. You can manipulate the cover to the way you want. The turbo Diesel is a good ball once shined it really gets down the lane.

It amazed me that Hammer would discontinue the Blade Reactive. I'd agree, it's the V2 of Hammer. To answer your question, IMO, the Blade is a much more versatile ball.
