Title: New Blue Hammer with different layouts
Post by: BackToBasics on October 11, 2014, 07:57:05 AM
I currently have a Blue Hammer remake and love it. I've been able to use it sometimes when this particular shot breaks down and it allows me to stay in the track.

I was wondering if anyone had multiple and how much difference did you see with layout and surface changes?  I've been debating getting another and keeping it a little polished and taking the first one to maybe 500/2000 to use fresh.

you must be on some light volumes to use that ball
mine is a last resort for tournament play when the heads go away

I had drilled 2 of these (pin up & pin down) and I did not see that much difference between the balls, so I gave the pin down ball to a JR league bowler for his dry lane ball. I still have the pin up ball for my spare ball & dry/short lane patterns.

Hope this helps...

That's actually very good information.  Just curious, did you happen to change the surfaces at all or were they both box?

I always change the surfaces on my stuff to find what I am looking for in the ball. I left mine at 4000 surface & love the ball now for what I wanted, which is prefect for spares & the drier patterns
