Title: New Hammer Aficionado
Post by: DP3 on December 20, 2004, 01:56:32 PM
After doing and working a few Hammer/Ebonite demo days, I must say I am impressed in the direction that the new Hammer line has taken.  So impressed that I've dumped all of my equipment(up in the attic with the rest of the classics) for a new Hammer/Ebonite arsenal.  I've just purchased a Vicious Strike, Deal, Switch Blade, Ice, and Big Blue Spare.  I've only thrown the Deal and Ice so far but I like what I get out of both of them, I just need another step down from the Ice and I may get another ball for the case of an extreme wet/dry situation(Looking at Pure Hammer or Sharp Blade possibly).

I've thrown every ball in the series so far except for the Big Block diesel, but I have seen plenty in the hands of people I bowl with and good friends.  I know there's not much action on this board so if you have any questions about the balls in the line-up....drillings, etc let me know and I'd be glad to help.  I'll post some mini reviews tomorrow or wednesday night and maybe even some videos of the stuff.  So keep an eye out...

I agree with g_thing about the Diesel Particle. Its the best ball that Hammer has made since the Ebonite buy-out.

Welcome Aboard!!!!!  I don't want to tell you how many Hammers I've got now, but I guess I got hooked after I went to a demo day.....If you like the Deal, you'll like the Real Deal if you run up against some heavy oil.  Finally found a Vicious Attack at a really good used price -- that's my Christmas present to myself --- I'm still using my Hammer Vicious quite a bit.  Hopefully my "Hammerhead" T-Shirt will show up as a Christmas present.  Good luck and good bowling!!!!

So you like this guy????
Yeah, he treats me sweet -- I met him at a bowling alley.         (Matchstick Men)

Decided to buy a hammer today after they didn't have an impulse zone. I hope i like the reaction of the Deisel Particle as my pro shop owner said it was one of his favourite balls.

Just bought a saw blade, pin 1 1/2" from pap, weight hole 6 inches on midline from grip center. So far, I really like the reaction I'm getting from this one! Little bit of a sharp breakpoint at first, but when I put an extra coat of control it on, voila, great reaction! I also have a diesel particle that has my first unsanctioned 300 and is now at 320, used whenever I'm on anvilane or other heavy oil situations! Hammer and ebonite both put out some nice equipment, as good as anything else on the market.
