Hawg Zilla vs Pain
« on: September 19, 2006, 08:48:56 AM »
Anyone own both?

How do they compare to one another?

Is it worth getting both?

I dont think its worth getting both unless you're really picky about the type of reaction you get.  The Zilla does handle more oil than the Pain and its a bit stronger as well.  I think a better spread would be Zilla>Widow.

Yes, Noy summed it up pretty well. There's no point to getting both because (like Noy said) they almost have the same reaction except the Zilla WILL go through oil much better. I've seen one, and i'll admit, it rolls really nice on a fresh pattern!

I think it's going to be based on what type of ball you like better.  Symmetrical vs. asymmetrical.  For me I prefer the symmetrical ball.  So in this case I like the Pain.

chitown: So are you saying the Hawg Zilla is Assymetrical?

It has a Mass Bias?

It doesn't have a MASS BIAS marking.

It is however, Asymetrical.  Just look at the pic.

I have not seen the hawg zilla up close but i'm surprised it doesn't have a MB marking?  Could someone find out why that is?

Chi-  None of the HAWG line have mb markings.   They are all Asym cores, but are "low mass bias".

The Engine:
The Hang features a high differential asymmetric core design providing a Low Mass Bias Rating. By designing the core shape to be a Low Mass Bias ball, the Hawg will produce strong backend hook.
