It's called the Raw Hammer Toxic. The ball is green and silver, and is a pearl reactive. I saw one today (only on display though), and the colours look ok. Not sure what the cover is on it, and I assume it's the same core as the previous two.

That's cool! I just wonder why there making another pearl reactive unless the Doom is going to be gone? What ever it is i'm sure it will be great. The other two are awesome pieces of equipment.

I saw a Hammer staffer with one yesterday. It's green/silver particle pearl. The core is a modified version of the Doom/Pain core. The ball will be available to the public December 5th. The ball is the hottness!
That's awesome if it's a particle pearl. I hope they didn't change the core though. I wish they would just leave the core the way it is just like the Doom and Pain. Just change the cover and nothing else.
I know this ball will make it in my bag just because of the performance of the other 2 Raw Hammers.

Hey guys. I'm gonna try and get some pics of the ball when I can. The bowling center I saw it at isn't near my house at all, but I'm gonna try. Also, I'm not too sure if it's a particle ball. I saw the box it came in, and it is only listed as a pearl reactive.

Here's what you've been waiting for!

The Nitro/R from days past made me avoid bright green for ages, but this ball just broke that. NICE

Its a particle pearl. The Pain is about 6 boards stronger than the Doom drilled the same way. The Pain will get thru carrydown, but might be a little to strong. The Doom can't quiet finish on carry down. So my guess is that it will be able to cover a couple of more boards and get thru carrydown as where the Doom can't.

That's a great observation. Another thing to think about is the controll factor. Both the Pain and Doom are very controllable. I can just imagine how controllable a particle pearl will be. I can't wait to see a real pic of this ball.
You know this one will have to be bought to go along with my Raw Hammer Pain and Doom.

Thanks Chitown. The control on the Raw Hammer series is just sweet. You can't really describe it. People have to see it for themselves. I know what you mean by buying one to go along with the Pain and Doom. I plan on buying one for Christmas and once I get some more money saved up I'm going to buy 2 more of all three and save them for a later use. Hammer right now is by far the best company in my mind. I haven't ever matched up with a company so well.

I have not tried my NO MERCY out but the Raw Hammer series is top notch. I also feel the Raw Hammer Pain is very underated. The Pain seems to be left behind with all the hype over the other balls.
If anyone out there reading this has never tried a Pain, then your missing out big time! The best reactive solid I have thrown to date. Great for difficult lane conditions.

The new Raw Hammer is not going to be particle pearl. In talking with Brain Graham, he stated it would be a better Doom. Try and imagine that.

Who needs a 300 or 800, when I have a 294 and a 295!?!?!

A better Doom? Your right I can't imagine that! The Doom is by far the best reactive pearl I have ever owned.
If it's stronger than the Doom then I wonder how it will be with the Pain? The Doom has perfect seperation with the Pain. When the Pain is coming on too strong then the Doom usually has enough xtra length to get the job done.

that does sound hard to believe Chitown. I'm guessing it will fit right in between the Doom and Pain. It will probably give a bit more length with control similar to the Pain. I absolutely love my Doom and now I have no choice but to consider a Toxic. The ball looks sweet too!
You know I have a NO MERCY and BW along with my Doom and Pain. The jury is still out on the BW for me. Plus I have not thrown my NO MERCY yet. I'm going to try it out tonight.
I will also post my reviews on it after league this weekend. I bowl on tough patterns during league so it will be put to the test. Tonight on easy blocked lanes and this weekend on a difficult pattern.
I would be very happy with just using my Pain and Doom. I just wanted to see what all the hype is with the NO MERCY and BW.
I feel the Pain is a very underrated ball. It has been overshawoed by the NO MERCY and BW hype. For those that have never thrown the Pain are really missing out on a great ball. It is the best reactive solid I have thrown to date. Plus it's awesome on difficult patterns, which is what I care about the most. My league doesn't use blocked house patterns. We use 4 or 5 patterns this seaosn and all are tough. This is a big money league so having great bowling balls for these tough patterns can make me a lot of money. Well the Pain has paid for itself this season many times over.

So I wonder if it's a particle pearl and they aren't saying it is? Kind of pointless to have a solid and a pearl without a particle pearl. Is the Toxic suppose to be a pearl still or a solid?
Hey Mrteach, talk to Brian and ask him how this ball compares to the Doom on carry down. That is my main concern for this ball. I want it to be drilled like my other two but be between and get thru the carrydown where the Doom can't.

Maniac,
Next time I talk to him, I will ask. I am not sure when that will be. I don't like to bug him too often. He is a very busy person.
From the sound of it, it will be able to handle carrydown a little better than the Doom. Don't quote me on that though. I am thinking the different cover is going to take care of that issue.

-
Oh... My bad. Theres a different cover on the Toxic? i thought it was just an adjusted core. Do you have the specs for the Toxic yet?

Unfortunately I wasn't able to talk to him for that long. Brian and I go way back to his days at Columbia, so we usually talk more about our families and a little about work.
I didn't get the specifics this time.

Alright thanks Mr. Teach. When you get a chance just try to get us a little more info since you seem to know more than the rest of us. Thanks.
