Backlash ????
« on: May 06, 2010, 07:37:18 AM »
I like seeing weaker equipment being released.  I have been bowling on dry-drier-driest lanes.  My Cherry Vibe being way too strong after game 1 - normally standing 25 playing 8 at the breakpoint.

Question: looking at the Hammer website, it appears to be the Blue/Silver has a little more backend and the Red/Purple appears a little straighter?  Can the staff/proshop owners confirm this ?   It appears the Blue/Silver can turn the corner from inside w/the right lane conditions.  Any thoughts opinions, much appreciated.

#2 - how much weaker than a Cherry Vibe, is there enought difference to merit carry both balls ?

To add to my original inquiry:

Is this Hammer's answer to mirror the Storm Tropic s ?

My understanding is that the Blue/Silver is for more control and has more overall hook than the Red/Purple, though I haven't thrown them myself. If you're sticking to Hammer then the Razyr would be good if you're bowling in a desert. The Cherry Vibe is actually a medium oil ball and is great for regular house shots. If you were going for a weaker compliment I think the Red/Purple would be the way to go, it is at 2000 and polished and if you needed it to be weaker you could always take it to 4000 and polish. Reading the early reviews already on this site is that the Red/Purple would be the drier option, and you don't have to use a pancake like the Razyr. So that would be my suggestion if you already have the Vibe, but you may want to wait for more information. I'm hoping to throw some more soon.
