Pin above and pin under means(pin above the fingers or below).  Your best bet is to go to the layouts forum on this site and ask some questions.  You can also use the beginners forum on this site which should be of some help.

Debo,

I started bowling two years ago.  It can all be very overwhelming to learn all this stuff at once.  The easist way for me to start was to get a pad of paper.  I would actually right down, in my own words or pictures, what the term is, what it means, and how it effects the ball reaction or characteristic.  This way you can always go back and reference things.  This helps when one thing starts to effect another.  You can quickly look at it to see how it all starts to come together.  You will also probably learn it quicker from writing it and reading it all the time as you read forums.  The key is being able to write it out so you understand it when you read it again later.
