Okay, so in the past when people have come onto the boards looking for advice about equipment I have tried to guide them toward either the Vibe or the Black Widow lines (and the No Mercy balls may they R.I.P.). It turns out I was unfair to the Raw Hammer series.
For the last few weeks I'd been throwing my Anger on the house shot during practice because that's where my equipment goes to die. I save the good stuff for tournaments. My coach said, "what is that? I've never seen you throw it. It looks really good!" I told him it wasn't that good and I would be putting it away in the closet for good soon. He told me to take it to my next regional first and see how it went.
Well, I didn't have anything with my other stuff, so I threw the Anger and...it worked! I didn't win, but I lost to the eventual champ and turned a check or close miss into a final.
Sooo, I guess what I'm saying is, I'm sorry and I was wrong. The Raw Hammer balls are really good and I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I was just throwing the ball bad when I drilled this piece. I've already ordered another Anger and an extra Psycho.
Also, just to add a bit of info; the Emerald Vibe is a great piece to go with the Anger. When I couldn't get the Anger through the front cleanly anymore I could go 2 and 1 to the ditch and throw the Emerald. It's VERY clean and makes a nice, consistent, angular move.
