Drilled up the Psycho and Emerald Vibe today, and was pleasantly surprised after I threw them.
I drilled the Psycho with the pin at 4 1/2" from my PAP, pin above my ring finger. With this drilling I was expecting a decently long, VERY flippy reaction. (Based on watching one other guy throw one). What I got was a decently long, hard arcing, hard hitting beast. Carry was superb, and overall pretty forgiving. When I swung the ball out to the dry boards it came ripping back, when I left it inside it creeped into the pocket. Overall the Psycho is a lot stronger than what I expected. Definitely a strong cover, and the "new" core is going to be a winner too. Overall, great surprise.
The Emerald I went with a 5" pin to PAP distance and put the pin below my fingers to get a little more control on the backend with it. Again, nothing like what I expected, but definitely not dissapointed. With the pin under the bridge, I expected a hard arcing ball motiion with this one with decent length. What I got however, was a near skid-flip motion. What a great surprise. I was really surprised (as I have been with the other Vibes) at the hitting power. Carry wasn't an issue and I had several more messengers than I expected. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a dry lane ball, but a great medium piece. And pretty too!
Hopefully I'll be able to get some videos up soon, and any questions are welcomed, I'll do my best to help.
Matt
