No Mercy Dead?
« on: August 01, 2007, 07:01:11 AM »
Did anyone else have problems with their No Mercy after about 60-80 games?  My cover is almost dead.  I've resurfaced it (what I consider resurface anyway, using abralon pads taking it down to 500 then all the way back up to 4000) given it a hot water bath, used bowling cleaning products on it.  The ball still works but it has way less reaction on the backend than it did when I first bought it.

I know that Hammer(Ebonite?) is notorious for having oil sucking coverstocks, but the maintenance on this ball is ridiculous and if it's dead already I'll extremely disappointed!

HEY INSIDE!

I posted this in another thread pertaining to the same ball. Try this method out and send me a pm letting me know how it worked out for you buddy!

"This is a method I've been using on dull balls when customers walk in and tell me that there ball is dead or has stopped hooking like it used to.

If you have a Haus resurfacing machine, put grey pads on then place the ball on the haus...take Energizer cleaner or whatever cleaner you prefer and spray about 5 squirts onto the ball...turn the Haus on and let it spin all around the ball for no more than two minutes, add a few squirts of whatever cleaner you are using here and there...after the two minute period is up, turn the Haus off and take to spinner and wipe off with a clean towel...give this a shot and see if the ball comes back to hooking...you can adjust the surface as needed...everyone I've done with this method has said the ball is just incredible and they see the hook they had when the ball was first bought...hope this helps! God Bless You All and have a great week!"
