Hawg Wild vs Hawg Zilla
« on: October 19, 2006, 02:12:07 AM »
I see cores and spec numbers almost the same!

Differences?  I see different coverstocks listed.

Performance differences that are seen?

hawg wild is suited for light  to med. oil conditions,  while the hawg zilla
is better suited for med. to heavy oil conditions.

I use my Wild on the same conditions, med/heavy, as a team mate's zilla. They both do fine, lots of hook, his zilla goes a bit longer and usually a couple boards more hook, but conditions wise, they're as close as you can get with two different balls.

Covers are very different, IMO, thus the length and extra boards.

az guy...now I'm really confused.

Are you two guys covers different and have been altered?  Or are your guys covers box?

Mostly I'm hearing the zilla is earlier...that's why I'm asking?

Hawg Wild...

From what I have seen...very rolly....not as angular as the Zila...

Zila....again from what I have seen...cleaner through the heads....big rev and big angular turn...handles quite a bit more oil....

The two balls covers are not the same thing...H/W CT Reactive, Zilla Ultra-Violent Reactive, not the same. Both are OOB, but being different covers, they will react some differently.

The Zilla is more angular, but board wise, not more than 2, at our house anyway. It will take heavier oil than my H/W, but we mostly see med-med/heavy, so both do well here.

Maybe I wasn't clear, the Zilla is a 'bigger' ball, but for what we mostly see, not much difference, except for angular entry, again, not much more, but more.
