HAMMERHEADS!
I got another Jigsaw in along with a 2nd Sting, Burn, and Onyx as well.
Went ahead and punched up the 2nd Jigsaw with an experimental layout just to see how strong of a ball we were looking at here and the first few times I got to try the ball out were very surprising.
Layout: 70 MB x 5.5" Pin x 20 degree Pin Height. No weight hole was necessary
Ending statics were -3/4 oz. Side and 3/8 oz. Thumb.
I went with the 70 degree MB because I wanted to see if this was too far of a length for this ball to still work. I also made the pin placement longer since I was putting the pin below the fingers as well, as I'll explain the kind of luck I've had with Pin Downs here lately.
Anything with Pin down the ball has just burnt up too quick and I haven't had any success so I've stuck with mostly Pin up layouts but since this one had a 1-2" pin placement out of the box, I decided to try pin under.
Middle of the road and playing straight up the boards (MOTR is aiming at 15 getting it out to around anywhere from 12 to 8 while straight up is just aiming up 10 getting it out to 8 for myself).
Very surprised at the fact it did not burn up and still had an aggressive ball motion on the backend despite it being below the fingers. Now between Jigsaw # 1 and Jigsaw # 2 playing the deep line, which for me is standing on the left gutter cap and getting it all the way to the 5 down lane is where I noticed the difference between the two. The Pin down Jigsaw did not turn the corner while the Pin up did!
To be honest..that is what I was expecting playing all of the lines I usually play in my house.
In conclusion thus far, the # 2 Jigsaw drilled pin down below the middle finger works excellent on fresh oil and still makes a hard turn just except playing the deep line for me.
Also, this was all done on a THS with AMF HPL synthetic lane surface.
Hope this helps. Thanks and God Bless!
