I would just like enough oil on the lanes to think about throwing either of these balls.

I think the situation was something like this:

Bowlersparadice.com manager: Why do we still have all of these Shark Balls on the shelves? I thought they would sell like hot cakes.

Stock Guy: Well they run for $300+ and use old technology with particles added to make them unusable on most conditions except for an extreme flood.

Manager: How much did Brunswick charge us to make these boat nostalgic anchors?

Stock Guy: Brunswick charges us $275

Manager: Holy Crap! We can't even give them away at those prices. Maybe we can drum up some customer base if we give these away with one of the other latest and greatest balls on the shelf as a comparison and this way if we give away 100 of these we at least get some money back and maybe sell some more of them, God knows we have a ton of them gathering dust here. (I know I'm taking poetic lisence with the fact that the Manager could come up with a plan like this, it was probably the guy sweeping up who over heard their conversation)

Stock Guy: I'll get right on it, though don't you think we should give the Latest and greatest ball away and sell the Elite ball making it more attractive?

Manager: Great idea Johnson, put yourself down for a raise.

Stock Guy: It's Schwartz sir...

The End.

Ronald Hickland is correct when saying Hammer is not involved with this promotion.

Our reason for choosing the Hammer Hawg Zilla is because of its buzz and the fact that it is Hammers most aggressive ball. We are extremely confident that the Hawg Zilla is a fantastic performing ball and would like to see how the PBA Shark stacks up against it. This is a simple promotion that gathers information and lets the public share their opinion.

This package is limited to 100 balls and the results will be posted when the 100 questionnaires are returned.

lol..

i may think about doing this,

if they would of done this with like their 168$ balls, i would of done it.

i might still even do it now.. 300$ for two balls, not a bad deal.

I really doubt brunswick even charges $175 for the balls, seeing as morich can sell them for $130-140.

What kills me is the list price. $609.98... ha..ha

I am anxious to see how many off the "FIRST 100 PEOPLE" to buy will post. I have to question Nick from Elite, will you post ALL the results from the "test", because if you are really wanting to sell BOTH balls, I think I would have to let the public read all responses. Just my humble thoughts, but I know on my THS both of these balls better be shined!

The solid black Elite ball seems pretty sweet.  It's a bit pricey though.  Especially since Storm has the Dark Thunder.

Oh and on the actual subject:

Hammer should be happy that people are going to get free Hawg Zillas.  They get their stuff out there for nothing.  If the balls perform similarly, but at drastically different prices...  Hammer wins.

Even if they are close, Hammer wins.

Elite is vastly overpriced. More so then any other company on the market today. Even Lane1.

This is a winning situation for Hammer.

Yeah I don't think people will shell out that much for one ball when they could almost pay for two other balls for the same price.  I guess that is the point of this competition.  You get two balls for that price.

Just wondering.. What's up with all the Inferno-references? In my opinion the Shark doesn't look anything like any of the Inferno's..
