My Black Widow
« on: October 15, 2007, 04:11:31 PM »
I love it I love it I love it.  Although I do have one problem with it, and it is not the ball.  We drilled it to Skid/Flip, pin above the ring finger, cg out 1 inch and a weight hole, and it does Skid/Fip.  It almost goes too long and flips so hard, I was leaving 9 pins.  I believe this ball would be great when the fresh shot looses the heads.

I am woundering if I should drill another one, but no so much length and one that reads the heads instead of just flat out slidding? Maybe drill it with pin next to ring finger and CG center?

Try a 90 degree drilling. I have this drilling with my black widow and it gives you medium length and a smooth but not a weak backend reaction. I compare my black widow drilling with my friend's black widow which is drilled like yours and found that the 90 degree drilling doesnt go down the lane as long and have a strong smooth reaction. My friend tried my black widow drilling and loved the reaction and went out and drilled up another black widow like mine.

I have mine drilled with the All purpose drilling and absolutely love it.  I kept it at 4000 but put a light hand polish on it, and I can use on just about everything. It picks up real nice in the mids and has a nice strong arc on the backend. It's very predictable yet strong.  Can't ask for much more.

Pin under ring 4 1/2 pin to pap 75 degree drilling 2k, it reads the oil much earlier and smoothier than my pin over ring 5 inch pin to pap 90 degree drilling ball did.

The pin up ball always wanted to make a late hard flip, the pin under ball is like a whole different ball. Great ball i have take it to 500 a few times to handle more oil than a resurgence handles, the resurgence was box at 1k.

I like the pin down ball alot more it will actually serve as oiler if you want it too.

Btw how is the action packed that i sold you last year doing???
