Pain problem

Well I bought a Pain for dry conditions.. got it drilled weak.. but its tooo weak.. Im thinking about just pluggin it and drill it agressive..? what do u guys think? leave the drill like it is now.. and try to mess with the cover or plug and redrill

Wait a sec...you got a Pain for dry conditions??  The Pain is a medium/med-heavy ball, I don't  understand why you would get one and drill it weak.  I would plug it and drill it for its intended use.  If it's hitting weak, it's probably using all of its energy very early on dry conditions.

You should plug and redrill the Pain and use it for its intended purpose, medium to medium heavy conditions. There is no reason to buy a ball as aggressive as the Pain and try to use it for dry lane conditions. There are other balls in the Hammer line such as the original Vibe that would be a better fit for drier lane conditions..

Have you tried using it on med oil? You could also try and sell it to a cranker or something

Well, you still had to go to a driller at some point.  Did he question your intentions at all, or did  you just ask for the Pain drilled really weak and he said ok?  I figure he at least would have said "you know this won't be a good dry lane ball."

Hey bud don't feel dumb.  Also don't plug it and redrill it yet until you have adjusted the cover with different grits.

I say this because you may find that it will work great at a different surface grit even with the weaker layout.

What layout do you have on your PAIN?  How far is the pin from your PAP?  Do you have a balance hole in it?  Where is the pin located; above or below the fingers?  

Let me know before you decide to plug it.

The PAIN is a very strong bowling ball.  It is really an awesome piece of equipment.  In fact this is the best tough lane pattern ball I have used.  It transitions from the oil to dry very smooth and seems to hide release mitakes on the back end.

So if your is drilled to go long then you may not need to redrill it.  There's a huge difference in hook when the cover is taking down.  At 4000 grit OOB condition this ball hooks a good amount.  Now take this same ball and bring it down to 1000 grit and it's A LOT STRONGER THAN BOX CONDITION!  So you may not need to re drill it.
