Thinking about the Hawg Zilla & Black Widow
« on: August 30, 2006, 06:02:00 AM »
I've been in search of a good heavy oil ball to start off league with.  I'm a stroker and right now I only have one ball, it's a Storm Diablo.  It just doesn't cut it on the fresh oil.  After a few games I can usually get it to find the pocket.  I can use it on just about any condition other than heavy oil.

Do you guys think the Hawg Zilla is the best ball Hammer is producing for heavy oil right now?  Do you think that the Black Widow would be easier to control?  Would it be too close in comparison to my Diablo?

Thanks,
Brad

From what I have read (haven't thrown either ball) the Hawgzilla would be the better choice for true heavy oil.  I think you'd see somewhat of an overlap between your Diablo and the Widow.

I was starting to feel the same way about the Black Widow.  After reviewing its stats some more, I think it might be pretty darn close to my Diablo.  Thanks.

I have thrown both the zilla and black widow.. Between those 2, the zilla is for sure stronger OOB. I would honestly get the pain if you want a ball for heavier oil at a great price..
