Problems with Vibes?

I have had my first Hammer ball: Blue Vibe for a month and really like it! I am thinking about getting a Cherry and change the cover to around 1200 and use it for medium oil condition. Will it work?

Any cracking or oil saturation problems with these balls?

you might want to consider leaving the CV in OOB and knocking the cover down on the BV. I have had mine at 1000 and it was very good.

Take the Blue down for a medium ball and use the Cherry OOB. You'll see two different ball reactions and both will perform.

Only thing is the BV was already drilled with "length" drilling. I plan to drill the CV with more aggressive drilling. Bad planning I guess?

Will the BV with such a drilling work good at 1000?

What type of length drilling? At 1000, the BV will do well. I wouldn't drill the CV aggressively because you'll cross reactions. Go with a CV with a weaker drilling for length and backend recovery. The CV will do most of the work because it's strong on the dry, but consistent.

Heres how mine are drilled. The BV is currently at 2000 and the CV is OOB. The BV is much more of an arc and the CV is very long with big angular backend.

I am seriously thinking of getting myself a Cherry Vibe for our house shot.

It is the nicest ball of the Vibe series so far. Great for broken down or lighter oil shots.

Keep in mind the Vibe core is the core Hammer used in some of their Vicious line balls...it's no slouch!!!

Similar, but not the same.  The cores used in the Vicious line weren't similar in shape from top to bottom, one side had three notches in it which allowed for a much greater differential than the Vibe series cores.

Thank you very much guys! Very nice info! I did not know what they meant by " performance core" but this thing really hits and carries well( only 14 lbs); even without a big hook! Amazing ball esp. for the price! I had the pin 5 in. from PAP.

So if I set up the CV for heavier oil cond. it'll be like having it backwards. hmmm......
May be I'll just have another BV! Never cared for the red color anyway!
