2-4" pin and 2-3oz of top weight will limit your drilling options very, very little. Static weights and ball specs play a very limited roll in ball reaction nowadays, especially with the strong asymmetric cores in the BWB and Complete NV (from your other thread). You'd do better to decide on a layout first and get a pin length and top weight that lets you use that layout without having to worry about a too-large weight hole.
Generally, though, 2-4" and 2-3oz is extremely versatile and you'd be hard-pressed to find a typical, common layout that would be difficult or impossible to use with a ball with those specs.
