Just saw a 295 from one of our big hands boys with this ball yesterday.
Is it urethane...almost urethane?
What is the difference between the new burgundy pure hammer and the previous grey one?

first off, the previous Pure was Black not grey. The difference between the 2 is the color, and teh outer shell. The Black was urathane, and the new burgandy one is a very mild reactive resin. Which is better? i happen to think that the new Burgandy is an allaround better ball then the Black Pure. The mild resin allows this ball to be thrown on light, or medium (if clean backends), and it provides a tad bit more flare to give a better move/reaction. It is all prefrence, but if you were going to buy a Pure, i would say get hte Burgandy for better value, plus i dont think u can find the black anymore.

I had a black pure and thought the ball was great. A good tournament or tough condition type ball. Very smooth. I traded it in because I dropped ball weight.

Black for me was pretty close to Urethane out of the box but polished was remarkably similar to a Mojo that I used to own. From what I've seen of the Burgundy it appears to be more reactive and a bit stronger off the spot.
Hope that helps.

The Black was not urethane either. Mine says reactive on the box. Great ball.

Black was mostly urathane with about 5 percent reactive from what I was told.
