Blade Pearl
« on: September 01, 2003, 04:46:14 AM »
Went to the new house I'm going to be bowling in this winter.

It is all synthetic and pretty wet.  The house I was bowling in was part synthetic and partwood(backends).

A friend told me that the blade pearl could really bring it here!

My thoughts, "Yeah, Right!

Yet surprisingly even though the shot is very heavily oiled,
Balls I've been using have been EZ Money, Reaction Rev and Brunswick Riot Zone.
This ball as long as it gets started straight up the boards or a slight point really can bring it.

I had my Time Zone with me and surprisingly this ball gets started just early enough to strike the Time Zone wants to leave 7s!  Playing the same line.

This sucker is just about as strong as the Ebonite V2 Pearl which is the strongest pearl I had ever thrown but I always had trouble getting comfortable with that one because of the massive early rev.

This one is really smooth and then creates a lot of surprising angle but in a smooth way!
Great looking ball on the rack or down the lane too!

Again last night, though having some release problems due to new ball and getting tape right the shot was a little dryer than practice sessions.

This ball had no problem carrying.  Caught the eye of guys I was bowling with.
Compared very favorable with a Retro Roto blue in movement and carry.

If anything was a touch earlier and more controllable.  Every bit of the hit.
I think this is the best early rev pearl ball I have ever thrown.
Matching up with highly polished Eraser, Vortex Pearl, Ti Messenger, Tiger et all.  All good ones I've tried!

I like the Battle Zone bullet for later rev pearl!

I love this ball too. I have the solid and particle also.
The Particle is a lot of ball! every bit as good as the WOW if not stronger.

With these three balls and my Maxim, I have most lane condintions covered.

Used to be a HUGE Storm fan. Now I am a Hammer Head!

Later,

Yes the 15lb Storm Shock Trauma is STILL up for trade!

Is this the best ball ever?

In many ways reminds me of the Inferno from Brunswick!  Did they put some secret coverstock in this baby.

Yesterday bowled a big/bigger handed bowler than me.

I think it is about my 10th game with this ball.
I don't think I've had a 7 pin yet!

They are either flush or if I miss a little it still kicks out that seven with a chop to the knees!

My opponent noticed the same thing.  He bowls for another company.
He said that thing "is good!  Just doesn't want to leave anything standing!"

Really starts to get your confidence going.  Reminds me of my Sledgehammer with more close at the back!  Closer to stacked drilling!

Lanes started really hooking as we progressed and just pictured straighter backend while deep and kept right on strikin!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS had pins come out of the back to kick out 6 pins all sorts of awesome mix and kickers and flush!

I love the Blade Pearl, it reminds me of the
old Hammer Reaper, Med-low Rg. Mine is very
versital and I love the reaction. I drilled
it stacked so it would complement my Vortex.
After shooting 812 with it this Friday I think
that it has to be my alltime favroite ball
from Hammer!
