Drilling recommendation for a Pure Hammer burgundy

I am looking for recommendations for drilling a Pure Hammer burgundy for short oil and flying back ends (synthetic).  I know the Pure Hammer burgundy is suppose to be a control ball (that acts as an urethane)but I'd still like the ball to get down the lane under control but not leave a ton of 10 pins.

My pap is 4 7/8 and 5/8 up, speed about 16 and rev rate between 350 and 400.  Hope thats enough info.

If you don't track too high I would drill it with the pin below the bridge with the cg kciked right to like 1/2 oz.  This should be a good drill for a smooth arc.  The control part of this is the ball itself.  If this ball is like the black one then it really wont matter what layout you have on it.  My balck one had the pin above the ring and cg in the palm and it was real controllable.  You amy even want to try that layout.

i drilled the same way you did with the black and it was way to much ball for me.  But most tell me i can hook a snow ball on ice so to each is own.

For me the pin was 5" from pap with the cg in the palm.  I can hook it a ton as well but with this layout the black was real controlable.  The ball itself is controllable.  I feel drill layouts only enhance what a ball is designed for.

There are of course ways to drill the guts out of a ball which can tame any ball.  Why do that.  For me my favorite pin position is above the bridge 5.5" from pap.  This saves a lot of energy for the backend.
