Razor Blade problems.
« on: October 03, 2006, 11:54:45 AM »
ANyone got suggested reason or solutions.

I drilled it 4.5 x 5, 2.25" above midline.
Tried it stock (1000 grit Abralon) and with slight amount of hand applied polish)

On wet/dry on AnvilLane surface with short medium-heavy oil with lots of backend, I get a reaction from a Solution PowerPlus Ex, a Threshold, a Revolution Renegade (PK 18 solid on medium RG , low DIff core), but very little backend on the Razzor Blade. Bizarre in the extreme.

I just drilled the SOlution and expected ZERO backend because of the lack of friction, yet I got a strong reaction. Similarly with the Threshold ( expected, of course) and with the Renegade (not so expected).

Also tried a POwer Groove Plum Proactive from which I expected a strong midlane, which I got on another AnvilLane surface. I got almost nothing, less than the Razor Blade.

The CutThroat Particle pearl on the RB is supposed to be very strong. I have little trouble getting most balls to backend for me. SO this is very unexpected.

I've tried my razor at 1000 grit for heavy oil, works great.I tried it at 500 abralon and rough buff on the spinner for medium long and was not impressed.for medium a high polish might work but I have other stuff for that.I would go 1000 grit and leave it for the heavy or do a high polish for mediums.the ball dose have a nice roll to it so it is tempting to polish it up.mine is drilled 4x4.

SIX PACK,

I had had it at stock, 1000 grit, but an observer last week thought it was rolling out. Thus, the polish. I may try it at 1500 grit matte OR 800 grit + gritless polish next.

my point exactly, the cover is too strong for mediums.I have a saw blade also, highly polished and drilled 51/2x4 and it's a great medium oil ball.
