Man O' man! I like that drill. I just put a drill very similar to that on a discarded One ball, that someone gave me, and it is now the favorite piece in my bag!

That drill is gonna give you extra, extra length! But because the cover of the Toxic is so strong.....it'll recover with no problem! You'll be able to add as many revs as you want to the ball!

I'm thinking of doing that same drill to a coupla other pieces as well. I saw this drill on an Epic Battle, and was shocked that it allowed him to keep the ball in play, even on the driest of lanes! Good job.

I think this is one of my favorite layouts now. I have an Archon (Morich Ravage fwiw) with a similarly placed pin. Since I am very much up the back with my release I can use this sort of layout without worrying that the ball will never get into a roll.

The previous layout, which is evident from the plugging, was nothing but over under for me, even with a flare reducing x-hole. Now it's long like you describe, and the balls track is much further from the holes on the ball.

I think I have 3 main layouts to consider now whenever I drill a ball. High pin near VAL like this, pin in ring finger, or "Rico" type layouts.

Got a Kinetic Energy just like that and my low game with that ball is 216 still, that drill for me works really good. Had it on infinite one by mistake it turned out too be a ball that will always hook no matter what.

The pin position on this layout is similar to what was done with the Tommy Jones "trick" layout. You don't have to have his rev rate to get it to work, but I don't think this layout would work as well for bowlers that "spin" the ball.

i had a storm agent that was similar with a 4" pin so the pin was little higher and the cg a little lower and your toxic. that thing made everything look like the "cheetah" pattern. great length and crazy angular backend.

Maybe i am missing something here. How this layout can be legal? Why you don't end with something like 2 or 3 ounces fingerweight?

Since the ball was already drilled there is a certain amount of mass already removed...given the location of the new layout -vs- the old one I could see where that layout *could* be legal "as is". It really depends on a few different things, but it's possible. Now that being said...was it weighted out?

Yes it was weighed out and yes it is legal. The ball only started out with 2.0 oz. of TW out of the box. If I recall correctly the positive side weight is a couple ticks shy of 1 oz.

Okay. In order for those to serve their intended purpose I need a lot of hand or a very specific condition. I'm a lefty, though, and maybe the other side of the lane is different.

Sorry, I shouldn't assume that because a layout doesn't work for me it won't work for other people, especially Righties. I'm just careful about drilling out portions of a core and then drastically changing the position that it is in to redrill it. Also, I have trouble understanding why that layout is necessary to hit a house shot. Ultimately, though, if it's fun and something new, why not give it a go, right? Sorry if I was a bit abrupt or rude before.

I dont have alot of hand and get huge backend reaction on the 4 balls that have this layout, just had a 75.00 dollar nib ultra zone from ebay drilled like this going to use it tonight.

I like this layout alot and it will be in my bag everytime i bowl now for transition changes that have killed me.

Typical night used to go like this.

210 plus game one

170-190 game two

210 plus game three

Gotta get that strong move off the dry and handle some oil and that is exactly what the Kinetic Energy and other balls drilled like this do for me at least.

I love that layout, I have it on my Blue Vibe. The backend is crazy. I thought drilling it like that would give me the extra length i needed for dry lanes and still have a punch on the back. I got the length, but I get a hell of alot more than a punch on backend. My blue vibe is kicked sideways

I don't think that's a good drilling for the Toxic. That ball just seemed to get down the lane and flop over.
