Title: Saw Blade?
Post by: splendorlex on January 10, 2006, 12:47:31 AM
I'm perhaps trading for one of these to fit between my V2 Power and Uturn Pearl.  I had great success with my Sling Blade when I first started bowling, so I have faith in the blade line.  What can I expect from this ball?  A good skid/snap?  Do you think it will fit well between those two balls?

it all depends with this ball of surface and drilling. Mine drilled lable (pic in profile) with 1200 wet sand is my benchmark ball. It gets into a good midlane roll, and at the backend makes a strong arc to the pocket. I had the ball at 800 polished but it was too jumpy for me and i couldnt controll it so taking the cover up to 1200 dull made it nice and controllable. I think if drilled the same way as me (without knowing the specs on the V2 Power and UTurn Pearl) would provide a nice inbetween ball. Not as strong as the Power, but smoother (due to particle) and more arc.

I'm keeping things layout-wise pretty simple, basically using label leverage drills all around.  I'm also not into surface prep as of yet.

well i can tell you this...drilled lable like mine with the OOB high grit polish, this ball will give you the skid/snap that u asked for, and if you were to nock the polish off, it becomes the Razor Blade (yes they are the exact same ball only one is polished)
