Should I resurface my BW to 2000?

Me and my friend went bowling and he suggested that I should resurface my ball to 2000. I still have it at OOB. Should I?

I don't really understand this question since you give no reason as to why you are asking it other than a friend suggested it.  Does it not react the way you like?

might not notice too much of a reaction change, OOB is 4000 abralon. personally, i'll always try anything once. don't like it, just change it back.

Well, I have noticed it doesn't have as strong of a backend as it did. Maybe I'll just give it another bath.

My Action seems to be even stronger in the backend than my BW. I think I might just give it a bath tomorrow and see how that works.

Has the oil changed where you're bowling? Are you bowling at different places?
Has the weather changed?
Dampness can make the lanes seem oilier.

FYI sanding it rougher (4000 to 2000 grit is not a major change) will make it earlier, not have more backend.
