Hey everyone,
This is the second time that I've owned a Blade solid reactive, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing about this ball. OK, the first one I owned was drilled stacked, weight hole drilled through cg, box finish. The ball was great on med-heavier patterns. However, after a couple of games the box finish would get glossier and glossier until the ball started losing finish and carry. The second Blade, the one I just picked up, is drilled label leverage and is shined up quite a bit. This one goes nice and long and corners like a bat out of hell. Still, getting the 10-pin out is a chore. What I've come to realize is that I have to come around the side of this ball big time in order to get it to finish off the 10. I mean, this is so obvious that I can tell 10ft down the lane whether or not I'm going to carry. When I do come around the ball, it recovers from anywhere and it carries very well. But if I'm straighter up the back, I might as well have my Target Zone at the ready. Has anyone else noticed this tendancy in this ball?

I can't bowl 300, but I can bench 315 : )

Can't carry a 10? Move in 2-4 deeper with a more aggressive ball and save the blade for another day.

In my experience this ball in box condition is a oil sponge and yes you will lose reaction cause it soaks fast. but i baked mine and then polished it and it was fine still hit like ton of bricks never had trouble carrying corners with this ball.

I have a few hammers and know how to nail the pocket with them!
