Acid question
« on: February 16, 2010, 08:05:28 AM »
Well I got used Acid, which really only has maybe 5-10 games on it, but it is drilled left handed. The pin is above the middle ringer(ring fing for lefty) and the cg is kick out(whick would be near my track). I thought about drilling a strong ball with a weak drilling just to see what would happen. I guess i would have to get it redrilled.
What should i expect from this ball if i decide to drill it a tad stronger? Who has a Acid what are your like and dislikes on this ball?

I have med to high ball speed with med to high revs and my ball track is inverted. I cant remember my PAP off the top of my head but i got it computed in at my pro shop. I am looking for a benchmark ball as well.

Hurt,

I can only tell you by my experiences of how it reacted for me. The ACID was an excellent piece. I never threw it OOB because the house I bowl in normally doesn't have a lot of oil to begin with. I gave it a basic 4 1/2" Pin Above the Ring Finger type drilling in relative to my axis point. With a coat of polish the ball had a hard time peeling back at the breakpoint. Over the course of breaking the polish in, this became my benchmark ball.

4000 Abralon + polish and this ball worked very well under the best of light medium oil conditions. The ball skid a tad bit too long for when I had to get in deep as I figure this due to the polish on the ball and the amount of energy it burns up through the heads to begin with.

Hope this helps. God Bless!
