I have never seen the hot sauce thrown being that storm and roto grip are the primary companies thrown in my area. I have seen videos of it and the hot sauce doesn't look like its much of a step down from the sauce looks pretty similar in backend. Would the black widow venom being a better step down when the sauce starts to lose carry?

It is a step down from the Sauce. It gives a similar reaction but on a lower volume of oil(medium) being that it's a pearl. The Venom would work but I agree with the other posters that the Acid would be the way to go. It is one heck of a ball.
