How many people use them? Are they any more convenient than having each one of your balls ball gripped and slugged. I saw a couple of guys at the pba experience session with them and I was just curious to know the pros and cons of them.

I love having them. You get the exact same feel with every ball that you own.

pros - same feel on every ball
- you can adjust to your thumb swelling and shrinking by just have different
sized thumbs
cons - they do happen to break, but i have only had two break and what an experience both times were... wow
they have adjusted some things on the innner sleeve now and it is more durable and locks in two places now... when you push down it locks in and then the lock on the turn... i have only one of those thumbs and it works quite well...
its a good system, just be careful when they break because balls go flying

All I have got to say is that the interchanging thumbs are great. Same feel with every shot. YEAH!!!!

I have them and they are pretty good, BUT I have a big hand (spans are around 5 1/4", 1" thumb hole) and have trouble getting the bevel on the thumb that I like. I tried shortening my span so I did not need as much bevel, but I did not like it. I have also had one inner sleeve break. I was in the downswing. Ball came off my hand, but the sleeve stayed on my thumb. Felt like someone tried to strech my hand about 3 inches!

Just had a thumb get stuck on one of my balls, don't know how but it won't twist to unlock at all. Anyone else have this problem and does anyone know if there is a way to get it loose or do I just have to drill the whole thing out and start over.

The other downside of them is when you are practicing you don't have the luxery of tossing a bunch of balls as you have to wait for the ball with the slug in it to take it out.
I think it's nice. I have a couple of balls with them. I don't think I will be using it again. Regular slugs are fine by me and I don't mind using tape.
