The widow core is a proven success but is this a previously released widow ball with a new name and color?
How much is this coverstock different than any of the previous widow releases??
Did they tweak the core at all ???

What I'm wondering is this:

Since the SWAGGA is a limited access ball for the TNBA, is this just a way of having it be available to the masses by re-labeling it?

Swagga is available to everyone.. not like the Chalk.
The Swagga was developed with the help of the TNBA.

swagga and the taboo don't have the same coverstock, they do have the same core.

Oh, O.K.

Just knew the Chalk was a special TNBA ball, and knew the SWAGGA had something to do with the TNBA as well. Thought it was a limited run as well.

I don't know how the two covers are different, but ritchie told me that they aren't the same, he said the taboo is a beast, I'll be looking out for one when the release to see if its worth picking up.

Got my Taboo at the shop this afternoon. Drilled it with a 45 degree MB, 5" Pin placement which puts the pin at 12 o'clock. CG slightly kicked out. Specs ended in 5/8 oz. finger weight and 5/8 oz. side weight. No Weight Hole needed.

I threw it a few times in practice and only once in league tonight and yeah..I must agree..this ball is extremely strong..the ball definitely needs oil! Will post more in the future as I get to throw it. Usually the house I bowl in has a hard time with a thicker volume of the slick stuff as of late so the Jigsaw Trap has been getting quite the work out lately!

Taboo 1st impressions are extremely wicked angular reaction off the dry and very aggressive ball motion.

I find it a little funny though.  The Plague was supposed to be the ball to replace the Black Widow line of balls...and only a few months after the Plague release..Hammer comes out with the Swagga and now is going to mass produce the Taboo.  Dont get me wrong..I like my Plague when I can use it...but this is great for all of use that loved the Black Widow core...the Taboo will be my 5th ball I've owned in the Black Widow line.  Thanx Hammer!

Hammer is advertising this ball as something new that hasn't been seen before and has "shelf appeal." I agree that it is a sharp looking ball, but to me this cover color and everything looks IDENTICAL to the Hot Sauce Pearl, except it's sanded. I think this is just a Hot Sauce Pearl cover wrapped around the gas mask core. I don't have a problem with that, but it doesn't look like anything new to me.

to the previous poster, just because the ball has the same color does not mean it's the same.
Take a look at the Track 607A and the ebonite maxim red/yellow/black.  they are IDENTICAL in color, yet two very different reactions.

ive the swagga n taboo! they are completely different on the lanes for having the SAME CORE!!! the cover on the taboo is amazing... its so snapy 5 ft before the pocket, sweet. the swagga goes long like the bw pearl and has a nice snap n drive. the taboo is wicked strong!!! ive about all the hammers in the last 5 yrs and NOTHING is as strong as the taboo.... hot sauce soild is only thing close to it!!!

The colors are definately similar but if you put them side by side you can see a pretty big difference.
