Hammer BRICK..Definitely a keeper

Hey guys. Used the Brick tonight in league. Compared to the Arson it is much more ball, easier to read and controls our main modified house much better. I used it polished on 41 ft, 27 ml pattern. Took a game to get around the corner 10 but popped a 299 and left 7. Go figure!
 
 
So far I am loving it. 
 
Compared to Arson and Taboo Blue it is stronger in mid than Arson and reads a tad sooner than Taboo blue on two patterns. However, the over and under is very little compared to the Arson and Taboo Blue on those patterns.

the description of the core begs the question,how do figure out what layout to use on this ball? same as any asymetrical core or is this like the no mercy/hart core deal where a specific layout works best?

Actual you drill normal. What you have to look at is the fine tuning across multiple balls. If I have asymmetrical Ball 1 and need a 4 board variation you would get fine tune the drilling. It is designed to get your driller more variation than a standard Assym. Don't get over technical in the beginning. Look at where you want this ball to fit in the arsenal of what you have and then fine tune from there.

I completely agree with you on the Brick.  I drilled my first one with a layout different than what I have used a lot recently due to the cg being right of the pin-mass bias line, and did not want a real large hole on this one, and I am extremely impressed by the fantastic midlane control of this ball compared to anything else we have. 
 
The original Taboo provided some very nice midlane real with a strong enough pin placement, but this one has the pin below my middle finger, about 5 inches from my axis, and it has great midlane read and still a real nice backend continuation, and carries the pins great! A read on the lanes we haven't had in some time for sure.
 
So far, a real winner!

I agree do not over analyze the drilling. Like was stated above it is meant to give ball drillers a few more options when drilling for their customers. The Brick is an outstanding piece and we are looking forward to hearing high scores from everyone once it is released
