I've changed cover and it'll work from med/heavy to, with cover change, light. It all depends on what you want it to do.

it also depends on what the backends look like. i couldnt even use mine unless the backends were spotless. but thats me...

As Azguy says "depends on what you want to use it for". I used mine out of box on light oil and shot 278 with it. Then I adjusted the cover with a grey pad, took it down some.....and now all I use it on is medium heavy.

Very adjustable ball. your choice.

I scuffed mine with 2000 and 4000 and found it quite useless on what I consider medium oil.  I keep mine OOB or shinier to play with it around here.
