i think i lost my reaction on my toxic!  What i did first was i thought putting my ball in the ball cleaner machine would make it work, but just made it shinny. THen after i put some polish on and it didn't work, so i soaked it in hot water and sanded it and now it barley moves one or two boards.

please help, this ball is my best ball and i have tryouts

What is a "ball cleaner machine"?
Hopefully you don't did THE mistake... You know the story about the Wax machine and the pores?

OK try this:
Sand it down to 500
Let it soak 3 times in a hot water about 20 minutes each time.
Go up to 1000.
Let it soak again.
Go up to 2000
Let it soak again.
Go up to 4000
Let it soak again.
Apply a bit of polish.
Pray that all the Wax is out.
Go roll and have a nice day-

Depending on what you use , Abralon Pads or SandPaper, I'd take it to 360 (AB Pads) and do something like above...soak . I have a Toxic and have never noticed a bit of 'drop off' in the reaction, well, once but that was after the PBA League and a Heavy oiling.

Hope you can bring her back to life, the Toxic IMO, is a super great ball.

The cleaning machine at the alley has waxin it which would plug up the pores. If you put polish on top of it you just made an extra layer.

This is what i think you need to do. Sand the ball with 360 grit Abralon pads on 4 sides. Soak the ball in hot water until all the oil is out. Then surface the ball from 500 abralon to 4000 abralon doing four sides with each abralon pad. You will need to do the surfacing of course on a Spinner. By hand it won't be even.

For future cleaning, i would get a bottle of the Legends High Performance Cleaner. This cleaner helps to take the oil out of the ball. Use it after each time you bowl.

after i sand it with the 500 do i soak it?

Yes, some soak between each grit, some only after the initial sanding.

There is no ball cleaner at the bowling alley.  It is a ball polisher.  I had a teammate do that once.  Said my ball isn't finishing, I need to clean it...went and stuck it in the polisher for 4 minutes, and I said NOOOO that's a polisher, your ball is going to hook even less now..and he said no no it's a cleaner.  Low and behold it came out all nice and "clean" aka polished, and it didn't move an inch.

To remove the "wax" better I'd suggest using scotch brite first.  It should dig the crud out better than sandpaper or abralon.

I would do as others have said.  You basically need to resurface the ball.  If you have a ball spinner that would help.  If not do it by hand until it needs to be re-polished.

Bring the cover down to 180 or 360 grit.  Then grab a bucket that the ball can fit into.  Place the ball into the bucket(don't worry about water going into the holes because it won't hurt the ball).  Place the bucket under your bath tub faucet and run the hot water into the bucket and let the water run over the top.  Keep the water going until you run out of hot water which is usually about 20 min(depending on the size of your hot water heater).  Using this approach will allow the oil to rise to the surface and run over the top of the bucket.  When done just remove the ball and wipe it down with a towel.

Now wait until you get you hot water back up and repeat.  

The last step will be to bring the cover grit back up.  If you don't have a spinner then bring the ball to the pro shop and have them do it.  Bring it back up to whatever grit you want and add factory finish polish to the ball.

This should do the trick just fine!

Yes, my advice is based on my hope that you put the ball only once in that "Ball Machine" so you maybe don't need to go down to 180.
We had here around a guy who did this 5 times. The ball was dead. We had to work the ball down to 180 for about 10 minutes and still wax did glog the pads. Don't ever do it again unless you want a spare ball (which is a good thing basically).
A nice thing to do also is to play with the different grids and see how the ball reacts on the lanes. This is a very fun and educating way to do resurfacing but takes alot of time. How your ball is working on 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 with or without polish, will teach you alot about bowling and ballsurface.
