True Blood

Hammer is releasing a new polyester ball with the First Blood core in it called the True Blood.  Could be good for when the lanes dry up, especially for us slow speed bowlers.

They also have a new Chalk release (TNBA ball) which will have the Raw Doom core in it.

Funny, I would have thought everyone who wanted a strong cored polyester would have bought or gotten a Taboo Spare by now. Especially since they were free with the purchase of the premium Taboo resin at the time.

Maybe they will offer this one along with First Blood in a package like they did with the Taboos.

Already have a XXXL Starburst... it will move enough to miss a 10 pin on toast.

Heck, My T-Zone will do that if I'm not careful.
These strong cored polyester balls are for striking on bone dry for those of us who can't quite get it up to 20 mph. Some houses in this economy only use enough oil that they can recover from the used peanut oil from local Chinese restaurants! They create sparks by the 3rd game after "fresh" oil, just before league.

I love my taboo spare for the burn. I would recommend buying the True Blood if anyone really needed a new polyester big core ball.

Now listed on Buddies web site for $89.95.
The Taboo Spare was $85 when it was available by itself. This makes me think that the First Blood will not be available free with the purchase of a Hammer premium ball, like the Taboo was.

Any one drilled one of these up? I am going to be needing a new spare ball and being I'll be buying my first Hammer equipment I figured why not just go all Hammer!

Was wondering how it handled the dry and if anyone had issues with it hooking too much using it for spares.

With the First Blood core in it, it does hook a little more than the typical plastic balls. I have used this ball on some of the shorter patterns with a little extra surface and worked awesome playing the gutter shot.

So far, I have enjoy throwing this ball since I enjoy the colors and for it having a weight block with the plastic cover if I need something for the extreme drier patterns.

Yeah thanks. I'm used to my spare ball having a bit of hook to it so I've kind of learned to shoot spares like that. It also was something I would stop and throw when I just wasn't throwing well and need an old school basic shot to kind of get things back in the right direction.

Thought about a Urethane as well, but little afraid that may hook too much for spare shooting.
