Keep in mind I've only thrown it about two games now.
This ball, for me, is VERY controllable. It has a good amount of length, and I had no problems getting a consistent reaction out of the ball. I have some inconsistency in my release, so a ball like this that seemed to react the same no matter what is a great plus. I really liked the hit the ball provided, as it seems reactive pearls match up well to my game, and I was throwing messengers and mixing the pins nicely on every shot. I threw a game in practice with it and a little over one game in leagues last night. In practice I threw a 194 the first game out, and threw a 185 the first game in leagues. Keep in mind my average is in the high 160's, so those are good scores for me.
I'll keep this updated as I get more games on the ball. So far, so good!

Great shooting. Yes the Doom is the most controllable reactive pearl ball I have ever owned. How did you get your drilled?

I went with a basic label leverage drill, which is how almost all of my equipment is set up. The pin is under ring with the cg kicked out just a bit. Nothing too fancy, but workable. Oh, I did go with reverse pitch in the thumb, went with 1/4" where I had zero before. I noticed the back of my thumb had been getting beaten up and I wasn't coming out of the ball cleanly. It seemed to work out really well, and I think I may go even further reverse, as I had no problems dropping the ball at all.
At this point, the Doom seems VERY controllable, and that's exactly what I was hoping for. I've heard people say that it gets stronger as you put more games on it, too. Has that been the case for you, Chi?
