The Vibes are stronger than you think. Depending on speed and revs, the Blue is a great Med to Med-dry ball. Might want to look at the Cherry(more length) for dry.

Just sold my Cherry Vibe.  I bought it for dry wood lanes hoping
it would allow me to play straighter and it was stronger than
advertised.  I hear the Blue/Purple is smoother???

i would suggest a urethane or maybe a ball from the roto-grip planet series like the mercury heard that was a good light oil ball.

I sold my Cherry Vibe too --- way too strong. Maybe a tamer layout...

If it's dry broken down pattern on wood lanes then no reactive ball is going to work very well.  This is where urethane comes in handy.

On a light oil pattern the Vibe is going to work very good but wont be weak!  Hell, I have two Blue Vibes and brought the cover down on one of them.  My dull Vibe can handle heavier longer oil very good!  Just a great ball!

Blue Vibe is too strong for dry wood lanes. I would suggest one of the Tropical Storms

For dry wood lanes, I use a highly polished Black urethane hammer, drilled negative.

Works for me.
