Question on old Hammers

A few months ago I picked up a Faball Blue Hammer.  It is my favorite ball these days, and on the right conditions nothing can match it.  I don't know if it's the 2-piece construction, but it hits the pins so hard.

My question is on two of the older Hammers.  If I like the solid blue so much, how will the blue urethane Hammer compare?

And what about the Maxxx 3D Offset?  Was that also 2-piece construction?  Urethane or reactive? What core did it use?

WHen you said Faball Blue Hammer, I thought you were using the urethane Blue Hammer. It is "THE" Blue Hammer. Maybe others made the same mistake I did. So which "Blue Hammer" are you throwing?

Yep that could be BUT dougb said in his original post A few months ago I picked up a Faball Blue Hammer. that would mean Ebonite produced not Faball manufactured.

Sorry for the confusion.  I'm using a Utah-produced original Fabll Blue Hammer urethane ball.

Can you state what you are wanting to compare the original Faball Blue Hammer to?

Thanks for your patience, guys.  My Blue Hammer is hands down my favorite ball.  It''s drilled 1 o''clock label. The ball goes long and while it doesn''t move too much on the backend it hits HARD.  I don''t know if it''s the solid shell or what but it drives harder through the pins than any of my new equipment.  I can use it on pretty much anything except heavy oil and dry lanes.

I''m assuming the Blue Pearl (http://www.bowlingball.com/hammer-faball-1980-blue-pearl-hammer-by-faball-bowling-ball.html) will go longer and be better for light oil, but retain that same gentle arc.

As for the Maxx 3D Offset, I know nothing about these balls and would like to know more about the core and the cover (reactive?  2 or 3-piece construction?).  I''m thinking this ball could cover heavy oil, building a complete arsenal around older Faball equipment!
