Guys I bowled on some really toasted lanes tonight and was wondering about the VIBE.  I was going to use one of my Dooms for real dry lanes and polish it with delayed reaction.  I don't think it will work because the Doom is just to dam strong.  I can use my Doom on dry lanes if I play deep and keep my speed high.  However I want to have a dry lane ball that I can play on toasted lanes.  I want to be able to even play down and in on toasted lanes so that is what I need.  A true dry lane ball.

So tell me about the vibe.  I would love to hear from guys that have both the Doom and vibe.

These are the balls i'm looking at right now.

its core and rg style let it go long... keep the VIBE polished and it will do the trick... I used mine for dry lanes.

Everyone's dry is different! There was way too much action in the cover for me to use on our dry lanes.Keep in mind this is the same cover as the doom.The core difference may not be enough to give you what you want.

Wrong...not the same cover. The Vibe is a less aggressive version.

Have I ever steered you wrong???

Pick up the VIBE put the pin over the bridge, swing the CG out about 1/2" and there you have it.  A new ball for when the DOOM is too strong.  

I waited years for Hammer to come out with a ball that I could use on the dry stuff.  This is the one.

I'm considering the vibe.  However before I do buy one I need to try the delayed reaction polish on one of my Dooms.  

See with my Doom in it's box surface can be used on most dry lanes.  I just have to play deeper and keep my speed up.  The only problem is when the lanes are xtremely broken down the ball is hard to control.  It's not so much the length as it is the back end.

So that is why I have to try the delayed reaction polish first on this ball.  If it can tame down the back end and give just a little more length this ball will work.  If not then a vibe is in my future.

See the cover is the most important part of a balls reaction.  The vibe uses a close version of the Doom cover.  They both use "max flip reactive" as there cover.  The Doom uses an "enhanced version" of this cover.  So in a sence adding delayed reaction to the Doom may be like using the vibe cover on the Doom.  We will see what happens.  I will let everyone know the reaction I get.

Plus don't forget I have my Doom #3 at the pro shop right now waiting to be drilled.  I will be picking it up this coming Wensday.  Remember this ball will be drilled pin leverage and cg kicked right to 1oz and no balance hole.  I will try it in the box condition to compare it to my other Dooms.  Then I will dull it to 600 grit and use it for heavier oil when my box Doom skids too much.  I know the dull Doom will handle more oil than the box Doom.  It's only a question of how much oil it can handle.

I have lots of hand, and I have never had success with a pin on the PAP drilling, 1" pin, or 2" pin on a dry condition.  


If anything I would rather put the pin at 6.25", and have some reaction on the backs, then a ball that rolls at the foul line.

I hear you but when the lanes dry up I can take my Doom and use fast ball speed and just wheel it from Deep.  However I don't want to work that hard.  Plus I can always take my hand out of the ball.  There are ways to play dry lanes that don't require fast ball speed.
