when a hammer urethane?
« on: May 22, 2010, 07:28:59 AM »
i had some great hammers in the past, does anyone know if hammer is planning a new urethane for today's market, storm's natural has been very successful, brunswick is introducing the avalanche urethane, maybe we could get a remake of the old faball blue hammer.

Hammer no intentions on releasing anything urethane anytime soon. Their reason is their is not enough interest to warrant it.

Maybe, if were lucky, they'll forget to add the resin to a batch of the blue/silver Backlash balls..............................

Hammer isn't really the same company, it's just ebonite bought the hammer name from Faball and it wasn't ever 'hammer' but Faball who made urethane hammer balls in the 80's and early 90's.  Visionary is the same family and factories that produced the Faball bowling balls, or hammer lines.  So asking Ebonite to make old Faball Hammer urethane balls is kinda funny, because they don't even know how to do that.  They are a totally different company that just bought the name hammer to put on bowling balls so they would sell to people who liked the hammer line from Faball.

A personal vote for a Pure Hammer re-release!

Would suit Hammer well, but I can see that the brand is rather marketed with excessive hook arguments, not with control or user-friendlyness...
