Early july is the report after bowl expo, when ebonite is releasing many new balls under all of it's brands.
The days of 20 balls under each company are done and over, each company will have a line of it's own but nothing huge like before.

BBR states it's a light-medium ball. It that true? Does anyone have the inside poop on what coverstock will be used?

Heard it's for medium oil and even though it's a pearl it's stronger than current Black Widow
-
how can it be stronger than the current black widow if its the pearl version...that doesnt realy make sense, imo...the bw now is super strong...so i hope that the pearl isnt stronger which i doubt it would be...

My local proshop owner has been using the BWP for a couple months now. It's less ball then the BW, but he says it still hits the same.
-
depends on how you define strong. if you define it as oil handling capability, then no, the pearl shouldn't be stronger, if you describe it as, how deep you have to play on a house shot, then maybe yes. for instance, if a ball starts midlane and keeps going (solid style), you may have to move everything right to create the right type of angle to carry. if a ball goes long and makes a strong, sudden, sharp angular move to the pocket, you maybe have to move way left and get it out right to create the right angle. either way you look at it, whether it is "stronger" or not, i'm sure it'll be another excellent ball.

I have the solid smashtime and the smashtime pearl and for me the pearl is a stronger ball. It covers more overall boards on a THS than the solid smashtime. Maybe thats what he was talking about..

I think the great slump of 2006-2007 is finally coming to an end!!

How can he have his so soon, but it still hasn't been released to the pro's, who are the first to get them?

The ball is approved btw, and also overseas there have been sightings of this Black Widow Pearl, also I've seen a pro shop owner with a Black Widow that had a ton of red in it polish it up and claim it to be the Black Widow Pearl, i'm not buying its out yet though (could be overseas though).

Interesting since the guy that drills my stuff is on hammer staff and he doesn't have nor know when he will be getting the pearl. Gonna have to really start picking away

-
The BP is overseas. There were pics of it on some overseas website.
http://www.legend-star.com is the web site that you can see the BW pearl.
