Doom or Vibe??

So which ball do you guys feel if the better flip ball of the two?....I am probably gonna add one of these balls to my arsenal next week drilled leverage....I am leaning towards the Doom but my pro shop told me to think about that the Vibe flips back just as hard if not harder for $30 cheaper.

No comparison between the 2.  The doom is much flippier and much stronger overall.  Vibe is a great control piece for lighter condtions, but will not handle as much volume as the doom will.

If your proshop thinks you should lean towards the Vibe they might have a good reason for recommending it.  

I know where I bowl the volume would be low enough that the Doom would probably have to be put away faster than you'd think on a THS unless it was drilled weakly.

The Doom will flip more.  From the reviews I have read the vibe is more for drier lanes and has a controllable back end.  

The Doom will handle a wide amount of conditions.  If you drill it leverage you will get more mid lane and a little less back end.  However you have fast ball speed so drilling it leverage is probably a good idea.

Your going to love the Doom for sure.

My Vibe doesn't flip hard at all.  It gets good length, then gives a good strong arc.  Mine is drilled with the pin above ring finger and the CG stacked.
This drilling for me usually produces a strong snap, but not on my vibe.
I really like the Vibe its a great medium to medium-light ball.  It's just not a skid/flip ball.
If you're looking for a strong skid/flip go with the Doom.  I think Chi-town has built a whole arsenal from that ball.  So, it must be pretty versatile.

thanks alot guys for the feed back.....i will be going with the Doom in a couple weeks.....chitown has made me a strong believer in this ball........thanks alot

another question.........how does $150 sound?? thats about right i think....oh, and my pro shop is telling me that the doom has just become discontinued???...anybody else here this?

Doom is NOT discontinued.......it may be on backorder from his distributor, but trust me, it is not discontinued.

The Doom is not being discontinued.  I was told from the hammer people who I contacted about a different question and he said it will be around for 1 more year at least.  I heard the Doom is the biggest selling Hammer ball right now.

The Doom is very versatile.  Don't be afraid to dull the cover.  I know it's a pearlized reactive but trust me don't be afraid to dull it.  I have 3 Dooms 2 drilled the same.  The one I have drilled strong is dulled to 600 grit and can be used on heavier oil.  I just have not used it on a flood yet to see how it works.  From what I have seen on med long oil the Dull strong Doom will handle heavy oil.  Plus if you don't like it dull it's very easy to get it back to box condition.  I have had a lot of balls that once they were dulled I could never get them back to box condition and reaction.  That is not the case with this ball.  

I also can use mine with the box finish on some dry lanes.  I just have to play deep or take my hand out of the ball.  So this ball is very versatile.

If you want to maintain the box shine and condition just use factory finish polish and energizer cleaner.  I polish my box Doom every 3-6 games.  I just use 1 coat and then clean it with the energizer cleaner.  The energizer cleaner gives it that tacky feeling.

Plus there is a big difference in reaction shape between the stacked leverage one I have and the other 2 drilled to go long.  The ones I have drilled to go long have a huge back end.  The stacked even when it was in box condition had a much stronger mid lane and a little less on the back end.  It was fun to throw two of the same ball, on the same line and see two completely different reactions due to the drill layouts.
