For that Early banana roll I'd also go with the Hawg Zilla, even though it's about an arrow more than a Truck.  If you throw 16s I may be able to track down a NIB for you.

Thanks, DJ. AT this point in time, I'm mostly curious.

Drrev2000, Why did you say "sanded" Hawgzilla"?
The Hawgzilla comes 4000 grit matte. I imagine that might be close to the Truck's sheen finish.

I used a 15 lb Truck briefly, but put it away as I rarely found enough oil for it. It was not dull or matte finish; it had kind of a sheen, almost a "compound polish", like the Shock and Awe, to it and it was that way out of the box.

I just saw that all the Hawgs have been discontinued; must have missed that announcement. No surprising seeing how they're selling all those No Mercys.

4000 is as close to polish without being polished, I tried a Truck years ago and it felt like 1000 or less, my thought on sanding a Hawg Zilla was to try and answer your inquiry with a suggestion. Like I stated in my responce, the AMF NightHawk Remake has nearly the same number's and a slightly stronger core but not by much and both the NightHawk and the Fab Truck are listed for Medium-Heavy oil!

Ah, yes, 4000 grit would possibly make it more similar. When someone says "sanding" without specifying a grit level, I have to assume a lower grit, like 600 - 1200 range.

You may be right about the Nighthawk. But I suspect the Truck's core has a larger asymmetry than the NH's which is miniscule, virtually a symmetric core. (According to the Mo Pinel philosophy/theory, any mass bias strength less than .008", like the original Labyrinth, has to be considered to have no mass bias strength; i.e. virtually a symmetric core. Of course, this ball could still have a very strong backend; and the NH's reputation speaks for itself.)

Hmm, I wonder if I should put a NIB NH away in storage, on general principles ...
