Which one is better? A No Mercy or a Black Widow?

It all depends on what your looking for.

The NM and BW are close in the amount of hook you can get from them, they just go about it differently.  The NM has a strong mid lane read and strong back end. The BW has less mid lane and a strong back end with a banana type of arc to it.

I like the NM better.  However the BW is nothing to shake a stick at.  It's a very good ball as well.

Cause I really want the Black Widow but at the same time I don't want to look past the No Mercy. Which has more control and which takes out the 10 pin better? I rev the ball quite a bit. I throw a 16LB ball about 15 MPH. Of course you have seen my photo of the DOOM and I told you how it moved on medium lane conditions.

Huh??  How does that work?  I think "bananana"=="arc".  Maybe you mean "hockey stick" instead?

I have seen many BW rolled.  I have one myself and it has, what I would call; a banana arc for it's reaction.  It's not a flip and not a full arcing reaction.  There are not many balls that have this type of reaction.  It's like a corss between the flip and arc.  Very interesting ball.

What I like most about the BW is the back end reaction shape.  It was hard for me to control at first.  There are times when the lanes transition and i'm caught between balls and every thing seems to leave those corner pins.  This is where the BW shines.  With it's angle and reaction shape is can usually take care of those corners during this transition.

Now which hit's better?  The NM hands down!  I don't know of any ball that crushes the racks like the NM.  It's amazing with it's hit and carry!

The thing is though the league that I bowl in it's lanes can be dry about half the time and I don't want a No Mercy when the lanes are like that so I figured that a BW would be a little better in case the lanes dry up a little.

Just my opinion on what I have seen.

The black widow is the ball of the year and a favorite of many.
It does have a bananna arc and handles carry down so good its unbelievable.

The few people I have seen thrown the no mercy have said it does the complete opposite of what the advertisment says.  Not saying that it isn't good, its just not lived up to the hype.  once again this is just my opinion based on what I have saw

I just don't normally associate "less midlane, strong backend" with "arc".  I think of "arc" as being mostly midlane with less backend.

Exactly!  Usually an arc reaction is a ball that has a smoother back end move and a strong mid lane read.  The BW has less in the mid lane and is strong on the back end.  The BW has a very different back end reaction compared to other balls.  It's like a cross between arc and flip.

my widow has a hockey stick shape roll to it but with a hard arc on the backend.it's like a pearl ball without the flip.on a side note I've noticed my no mercy has more flip to it than my widow.

I think I am still going to go with the BW because I think the No Mercy is too strong for the lanes I bowl on.
